U.S. Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti praised India’s developmental progress and its pivotal role in shaping the future of the world.
On X (formerly Twitter), Garcetti said… If you want to see the future, come to India. If you want to feel the future, come to India. If you want to work on the future, come to India. I have the great privilege of being able to do that every single day as the leader of the U.S. Mission.”
The ambassador has a deep personal connection to India, having spent time there as a child, an experience he says left an indelible impact on his soul.
He highlighted the importance the U.S. places on its relationship with India under President Joe Biden’s leadership. Garcetti relayed that Biden himself told him India “was the most important country in the world” and that Washington’s ties with New Delhi are “the most consequential” for molding the world order in this century.

Garcetti characterized the relationship between the world’s two largest democracies as “not an additive relationship but a multiplicative relationship.” His glowing remarks come as U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan also lauded the partnership’s new heights, with expansive collaboration spanning technology, security, and numerous other critical dimensions.
The ambassador’s accolade underscores the United States’ recognition of India’s rising global influence and prioritization of strengthening bilateral ties. His comments reflect the pivotal role both nations envision for India in shaping the future world order through its continued development and strategic partnership with the U.S. across sectors such as technology and defense.
