Conference on South Asia on April 10-11 at USC
LOS ANGELES CA – The South Asian Studies Association SASA will hold its fourth annual International Conference ‘South Asia and the West: Entwined Entangled and Engaged’ on April 10 and 11 at the University of Southern California. It will be co-hosted by the USC’s Office of Religious Life USC’s Asian Pacific American Student Services and the USC Center for Transpacific Studies.
At the conference more than 100 South Asian scholars from around the world are expected to present research both historical and contemporary as part of 28 panel sessions and 3 plenary sessions that will address political social economic cultural and religious aspects of life which impact India Pakistan Afghanistan Bangladesh Nepal and Sri Lanka.
Speakers at the Conference include USC Dean of Religious Life Varun Soni Dr. Bonita Chamberlin who works extensively in Afghanistan Author Gunjan Bagla and Congressman Brad Sherman. For information: www.SAsia.org
