Adult star Sunny Leone was born Karenjit Kaur Vohra in the town of Sarnia in Ontario, Canada to Punjabi Sikh parents who were born in India. As a child, Sunny was a tomboy and played hockey with boys. Before she became famous in India, Sunny had visited the country many times with her family.
During her teen years, Sunny’s parents moved to California where she completed high school and joined college. She started modeling and quickly became a popular adult model posing for magazines such as Penthouse and Hustler.
In 2011, Sunny was invited to participate in an Indian reality show named Bigg Boss. Her appearance on the show sparked off protests and complaints due to her pornography background.
Noted Bollywood personality Mahesh Bhatt offered Sunny a role in a Hindi movie titled Jism 2. The film’s commercial success made Sunny Leone a popular figure in India and won her roles in more movies. In 2012, she became a resident of India and bought a home in Mumbai.
