Co-Diagnostics, Inc., a Utah corporation, announced two developments aimed at improving global readiness for Ebola and other emerging viral threats. The company’s India joint venture, CoSara Diagnostics, has shipped SARAGENE Bundibugyo Virus Test kits to an independent laboratory after a request from C‑CAMP, a Department of Biotechnology-supported innovation platform. The evaluation will assess analytical performance, including limit of detection, repeatability, and reproducibility.
The Company also completed a proof‑of‑concept study showing that an extraction‑free Co‑Primers Ebola assay can run on the Co‑Dx PCR Pro point‑of‑care instrument using diluted plasma. This marks the platform’s first blood‑borne diagnostic application, signaling potential expansion beyond swab‑based infectious disease testing.
CoSara’s Bundibugyo assay targets a species responsible for current Ebola outbreaks in East and Central Africa. The team is also developing a second‑generation pan‑Ebola test designed for broad‑spectrum detection and faster laboratory confirmation in regions at risk of future outbreaks.

The Co-Dx PCR platform (PCR Home, PCR Pro, mobile app, and associated tests) remains subject to regulatory review and is not yet available for sale.
