- Approximately eighty global clinical trials are running in India.
- Its work in India covers oncology, biopharmaceuticals and rare diseases.
The company also said it is pursuing artificial intelligence-based solutions and new access pathways across prevention, awareness, diagnosis and treatment.
AstraZeneca has its corporate headquarters in Cambridge, UK. According to its website, it employs 96,100 people worldwide and reported revenue of $58.7 billion in 2025.
Why this matters: AstraZeneca has placed commercial, research, technology and global business services teams in one new office in Mumbai. American and European pharmaceutical companies weighing India can note that a company with $58.7 billion in revenue is building that mix in the country.
