AM Intelligence, an artificial intelligence infrastructure company set up by the founders of the renewable energy developer Greenko, has ordered 20,000 more NVIDIA Rubin graphics processors. NVIDIA is based in Santa Clara, California.
The company announced the $4 billion order on October 5th, according to a statement that CIOandLeader carried. The order lifts its total to roughly 29,000 Rubin processors, after a commitment for 9,000 on August 25, 2026, for its facility in Hyderabad, in southern India. The new processors will serve facilities in India and Malaysia, with delivery scheduled for the second quarter of 2027.
The company plans to bring 300 more megawatts of capacity to market within fifteen months, which it says will require more than $20 billion in capital spending, on top of $6 billion it has already committed. Its longer-term goal is one gigawatt of computing capacity that customers can rent, and five gigawatts of powered data center capacity.
For U.S. technology suppliers, the order shows demand for AI computing in India reaching billions of dollars in a single purchase, if Whalesbook’s figure holds. NVIDIA sells the processors, and a company from India is building the data center capacity around them.
