Addison Group, the Chicago staffing and consulting firm, has opened its first center outside the United States, in Noida, in northern India. Staffing Industry Analysts reported that the firm built the Global Excellence Center after clients asked whether it could offer offshore as well as onshore talent.
Addison Group describes itself as an international business services and human capital technology company. Staffing Industry Analysts ranks it twentieth in U.S. information technology staffing and fourth in finance and accounting staffing.
The center runs three shifts, which gives clients access to talent around the clock. It provides talent solutions and consulting services across industries, and staff work onsite or remotely depending on client preference, according to Staffing Industry Analysts. Shipra Sharma leads the center as its Global Excellence Center head.
Thomas Moran, Addison Group’s CEO, told Staffing Industry Analysts that the center gives the firm two pools of talent to draw on for clients and helps it compete for scarce skills, particularly in NetSuite consulting and artificial intelligence services.
The company’s announcement says the center draws on India’s pool of more than four million professionals in information technology, engineering and business operations. It also says a blended onshore and offshore model lets Addison Group offer competitive pricing and broader capabilities, and that the center’s offer-to-join ratio is roughly three times stronger than the tech staffing benchmark. That ratio is the company’s own claim. Neither the announcement nor the trade report gave a headcount or an investment figure.
Why this matters: Addison Group said demand from its U.S. clients led it to open the center. For American firms weighing India, this can be significant factor.
