The Defense Acquisition Council of India has approved the acquisition of two Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from the national carrier Air India for the dedicated use of the Prime Minister and the President of the nation. These aircraft will then be specially configured for travel by Boeing which will also install sophisticated advanced self-protection suites to jam and beat hostile incoming missiles besides having encrypted satellite communication facilities reports Defense World.
