Kalamazoo, Michigan-based Stryker, has expanded its prototype and testing facility in India. This move represents a significant growth of Stryker’s research and development operations in the country.
The advanced 55,600-square-foot facility integrates enhanced microbiology capabilities, and a talented team with the goal of driving innovation and ensuring product quality across Stryker’s diverse medical technology portfolio.
“Investing in innovation from India is a focus area for Stryker,” said Ram Rangarajan, Vice President of Stryker Global Technology Center in Gurgaon, India. “This new lab represents our commitment to developing medical technologies that improve patient outcomes and comply with the highest regulatory standards.”
The new facility is dedicated to the rigorous lifecycle testing of medical devices throughout the product development process.
Key features of the expanded lab include:
1) A prototyping and product assurance hub with equipment for plastic 3D printing, metal machining, and a wide range of testing capabilities to support prototyping and quality assurance across Stryker’s entire product line.
2) Expanded microbiology capabilities to conduct comprehensive microbiological testing, ensuring the safety and efficacy of Stryker’s medical technologies meet regulatory requirements.
3) A talented team of highly skilled engineers and microbiologists who will leverage the advanced equipment and expertise to develop innovative solutions that positively impact patients worldwide.
