Having completed phase I of upgrading its first facility in Bangalore, India, German multinational engineering and electronics company Bosch, has embarked on the second phase, with an investment of $200 million for this year. The company said India continues to be a key hub for the group’s global development network.
Dr. Steffen Berns, president of Bosch Group India and managing director of Bosch Limited said, “We are also rapidly increasing our local engineering and development; this year we will recruit over 3,000 engineers in India. Engineers at the facility work on key topics such as driver assistance and passive safety, active safety, anti-lock braking system and electronic stability program, and hardware development. Other areas of focus include big data and software solutions for the Internet of Things.”
