India subsidiary, Sanofi Healthcare India, has significantly increased the footprint of its Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad, Telangana, adding 270,000 square feet to the facility. This expansion brings the total area to approximately 500,000 square feet. The upgraded center is now equipped to accommodate 5,000 employees, a substantial increase from the initial projection of 2,600.
This infrastructure growth is a primary component of Sanofi’s long-term financial commitment to the region. In July 2024, the company announced a $458 million investment plan set to be executed by 2030. A key milestone within this strategy includes the creation of 1,600 new jobs by 2026. Sanofi has operated in India for seven decades, with activities spanning vaccines, treatments, clinical trials and manufacturing. Following this expansion, the Hyderabad GCC ranks as one of the three largest pharmaceutical GCCs in India, trailing only Novartis in scale.
