Punjab National Bank (PNB) provides various banking products and services in India and internationally. The company offers personal banking products and services comprising savings accounts, current accounts, fixed deposits, nomination facilities, and debit cards, as well as various credit schemes, such as housing loans, car finance, personal loans, professional loans, educational loans, mortgage loans, and various other credit schemes. It also provides corporate banking products and services, such as loans against future lease rentals, export-import finance, cash management services, and gold card scheme for exporters.
In addition, the company offers various financing schemes for small scale industries, as well as traders finance; and various agricultural credit schemes and credit cards to farmers in the Indian agricultural sector, as well as finances housewives and other ladies to supplement family incomes. Further, it provides Internet banking and automated teller machine, as well as deals in government securities, bonds, equity, forex, and derivative market. As of March 31, 2009, PNB operated a network of approximately 4427 branches comprising 1908 rural, 911 semi urban, 891 urban, and 717 metropolitan branches, as well as operated a network of 2,150 ATMs.
