Cummins has over 40 years of experience in India and two factories in Pune and Daman. Cummins India has a joint exchange program with Purdue University that allows students to visit the campus for academic work, research, and cross-cultural experience. For Cummins, India is a sourcing hub and a source for R&D. In 2004, Cummins Inc had started sourcing 50 liter power-generation engines from India for worldwide use.
