Sanofi Healthcare India is expanding its Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad, in India’s southern state of Telangana, by adding 270,000 sq. ft. of workspace. The new space adds to the 280,000 sq. ft. announced less than two years ago, underscoring Sanofi’s commitment to India This expansion increases the French pharmaceutical company’s India capacity from 2,600 employees to nearly 4,500, making it one of Sanofi’s largest talent hubs worldwide and positioning it among the top three pharma GCCs in India.
Sanofi had previously announced a $460 million investment in July 2024 to grow the GCC over six years, including the creation of 1,600 new jobs by 2026.
Since its establishment in 2019, the Hyderabad site has evolved into a major hub supporting global operations across research, data analytics, digital innovation, medical affairs, finance, procurement, HR, and commercial services.
The inauguration on February 16, 2026, by Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister highlighted the diverse career opportunities the expansion will generate.

On the occasion, Madeleine Roach, EVP and Sanofi’s head of business operations said, “Operations at the Hyderabad GCC will serve to support critical processes across the drug research, development, manufacturing and access lifecycle.
