Mumbai-based has acquired Mob Scene, a Mid-Wilshire marketing agency specializing in content for film studios, television networks, and streaming services. While financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, the deal represents an expansion for Connekkt into the North American market.

Mob Scene, founded in 2006 by Tom Grane, has built a reputation for creative marketing services including large-scale production, trailers, promos, branded content, documentaries, and behind-the-scenes content. The company’s portfolio includes work on major film releases such as “A Complete Unknown,” “Dune: Part Two,” “Barbie,” and “Despicable Me 4.”
Under the new ownership structure, Grane will continue as Mob Scene’s chief executive. In a statement, he expressed enthusiasm about the partnership.
Connekkt Media, established in 2015 by Varun Mathur and Saurabh Mishra, has grown to become one of Asia’s largest media and entertainment companies.
The acquisition appears logistically straightforward, as Connekkt already maintains a presence in Los Angeles, occupying space in the same Wilshire Boulevard office building as Mob Scene.
This deal represents a significant move by an Indian media technology firm into Hollywood’s marketing ecosystem, potentially signaling increased international interest in acquiring specialized creative agencies that serve the entertainment industry.
