Sysmex Corporation a Japanese company based in Kobe, announced the completion of a factory at Sanand , Gujarat. This unit is the first in the Sysmex Group capable of producing both reagents and instruments, and boasts the largest floor area of any Sysmex location outside Japan.
The new facility is designed to meet the growing demand for medical testing in India, a country experiencing rapid economic and population growth. The base will significantly increase Sysmex’s reagent production range and introduce instrument manufacturing in India.
For instrument production, the company plans to implement systems equivalent to those in its Japanese factories, including IT-based training programs for local employees to maintain Sysmex’s quality standards. The company aims to commence shipments of both reagents and instruments from the new facility by the end of fiscal year 2024.
Starting in 1998 , the company has expanded its Indai presence, introducing testing products and establishing a direct sales and service network. In 2007, Sysmex set up a reagent production factory in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, to ensure supply to Indian customers.
