Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche inaugurated its Digital Center of Excellence in Pune, India. This strategic investment underscores Roche’s commitment to establishing Pune as a hub for digital talent and thought leadership within the company.
Over the past three years, Roche has been on a transformative journey in Pune, earning recognition as a respected voice in the industry. The new Digital Center of Excellence will allow Roche to harness the power of digital transformation and leverage cutting-edge technologies.
The 200,000 square foot campus has been designed by incorporating learnings from post-pandemic workplace models. It can accommodate 1,300 professionals who will to develop solutions powered by data analytics, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning and other emerging technologies.
Egle Bronzini, Global Head of Informatics Chapters at Roche highlighted the strategic importance, stating “Our presence in Pune enables us to leverage the exceptional talent pool in India, accelerating the digitization of our internal value chain. It also facilitates seamless collaboration with Roche Information Solutions, ensuring our technology investments align closely with our business priorities.”
