Manhattan, NY- headquartered Estee Lauder has collaborated with renowned Indian bridalwear designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee to launch a limited edition line of 10 matte and ultra matte lipsticks. The lipsticks come in black lacquer cases with 24-karat gold-plated accents featuring Sabyasachi’s trademark tiger engraving.
This partnership holds strategic importance for both parties. For Estee Lauder, it represents an effort to diversify and expand its reach in growth markets such as India, as the company aims to reduce its over-reliance on the Chinese market post-pandemic.
On the other hand, Sabyasachi sees this collaboration as a stepping stone toward expanding his brand into the beauty industry. The designer expressed his intention to create a global luxury beauty brand originating from India, capitalizing on the country’s rich heritage in beauty and wellness traditions.

The collaboration not only introduces a unique product line but also signals the potential for a more extensive beauty offering from Sabyasachi’s fashion brand in the future, combining Estee Lauder’s expertise with the designer’s distinctive aesthetic and cultural inspirations.
