David Rubenstein (11 August 1949) is co-founder and co-chairman of The Carlyle Group, a powerhouse in the realm of global investment. A prolific author, Rubenstein has penned several notable works, including “How to Lead.”The billionaire hosts multiple TV shows and a podcast.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Rubenstein is a philanthropist.His commitment to giving back is underscored by his participation in The Giving Pledge, where he pledged more than half of his wealth to charitable causes. Additionally, Rubenstein owns the Orioles, Baltimore’s baseball team.
At the end of 2023, the Carlyle group managed $426 billion in assets. Carlyle’s current India investments include Piramal Pharma Ltd, Punjab National Bank Housing Finance, SeQuent Scientific Ltd, and Yes Bank Ltd, along with many others.
In January of 2024, Rubenstein delivered the keynote speech at the Indian Institute of Technology Conference.
