Ludhiana, Punjab-based IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd., (IOL) a pharmaceutical APIs company, announced that it has received the EDQM certification to supply Pantoprazole Sodium Sesquihydrate API across the European market.
Pantoprazole Sodium Sesquihydrate is a proton pump inhibitor used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux). It works by decreasing the amount of acid the stomach makes.
Currently, IOL has a total capacity of producing 240 tons per year of Pantoprazole Sodium Sesquihydrate.
IOL is the world’s largest producer of Ibuprofen API with a 33% market share globally.The company has 13 plus APIs in its portfolio such as Metformin Hydrochloride, Clopidogrel Bisulfate Form II, Fenofibrate, and Paracetamol among others.
