Procurement Of Prime Mover For 70 Ton TLR To Be Used For TN Of Tanks:
1. The Indian Army is planning to procure Prime Mover for 70 Ton Trailer to be used for transportation of Tanks. The broad parameters expected of the vehicle are as under:-
(a) Capability. The Prime Mover should be capable to tow loaded 70 Ton
Trailer. It should be able to tow approx 100 Ton on metalled and unmetalled road/cross country.
(b) The basic parameters of the 70 Ton Trailer are as under :-
(i) Unladen weight – 25 Ton
(ii) Payload – 70 Ton
(c) Desired speed :-
(i) On metalled roads – 40 Km
(ii) On un-metalled roads – 30 Km
(d) Stability of load :-
(i) Gradeability – 14°
(ii) Side slope stability – 9°
2. It is proposed to identify Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM)/ authorised vendors who are willing to supply the most suitable above mentioned product. Therefore, you are requested to provide this office the detailed Technical details/ literature of the Prime Mover for 70 Ton Trailer for transportation of Tanks. According to the attach Appendix to enable crystallisation of the requirements/ specifications. However, any additional details, if necessary, may also be provided.
