India Will Host Security Council Meeting in October

India is halfway through the second year of its two-year term as an elected non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. It chairs the Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee for 2022.

On October 29, India will host diplomats and officials from all 15 countries of the United Nations Security Council, for a special meeting on counter-terrorism. This will be the seventh time the Counter-Terrorism Committee meets outside New York. The theme for this meet is “new and emerging technologies” used in countering the terrorist online narrative and misuse of information.
