Pune, India headquartered auto components maker Bharat Forge will invest $55 million in setting up an aluminum forging facility in Tennessee. The unit will will commence production in 2020 and will cater to the North American car market.
To improve the financial strength of its international operations, the company’s emphasis is on aluminum components for passenger vehicles and the light vehicles market.
Bharat Forge’s parent company, the Kalyani Group, acquired Walker Forge Tennessee LLC and PMT Holdings Inc., U.S.A. for $14 million in 2016.
