Japan and Singapore Stand 1st on Henley Passport Index

The Henley Passport Index is the original ranking of all the world’s passports according to the number of destinations their holders can access without a prior visa. The ranking is based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association, which maintains the world’s largest and most accurate database of travel information, and it is enhanced by extensive, ongoing research by the Henley & Partners Research Department.

The U.S. remains at 5th place since 2017. Brazil is at 13th place, while Russia rose one place to 46th position. China is at the 69th position. China has strengthened its travel links to key investment destinations such as Zimbabwe and Belarus, but the country falls one place on the index due to better performance by other states. India is at the 78th spot.
