A new partnership between Vanderbilt University Medical Center and India’s Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will focus on specific research in areas such as genomics, metagenomics, systems biology, bio-informatics, improved care management, and advanced healthcare analytics, reports CNN Money.
“Research is one of Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s core missions,” said Dr.Kevin Johnson, Cornelius Vanderbilt Professor and Chair of Biomedical Informatics, Professor of Pediatrics, Chief Informatics Officer, Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Vanderbilt University Medical Center will partner in Tata Consultancy Services’ Co-Innovation Network which provides an environment for sophisticated IT research in leading-edge technologies across various domains, and this partnership will combine forces surrounding product development, enhancement capabilities and go-to-market strategies in healthcare IT.
