Ericsson, the Swedish multinational provider of communication technology and services plans to further expand its engineering base by around 15 percent. It will hire workforce for the areas of Cloud, IP Routing, Network Function Virtualization, and Virtual Platforms.
“This will help solidify our foundation and sharpen our focus in IP which continues to be an area of investment and growth for us”, states Sanjeev Tyagi, Vice President and Head of Ericsson’s Business Unit Cloud & IP, R&D, India.
In addition to the IP Edge portfolio where the company continues to strengthen its Broadband Network Gateway solution deployed on the Smart Services Router platform, the R&D team in Bangalore has been making significant contributions in Software Defined Networking technologies, reports ciol.com.
