With the North America head Umang Vora parting ways with the Hyderabad-based drug maker, Alok Sonig has been appointed to replace him. Sonig had worked for Bristol-Meyers to drive its commercial excellence and business model innovation functions at Princeton, New Jersey, before moving to Dr. Reddy’s. Currently he is responsible for the Indian market and is a member of the management council at the company. Economic Times reports that Sonig’s position will be handled by M.V. Ramana, who currently heads the emerging markets business.
