Indian Medical Device Company Introduces Lab-on-a-Cartridge

A Mumbai, India based company, DiaSys Diagnostics India, has developed a ten-minute test using a finger-prick process to carry out an array of  clinical tests.

Its QDx InstaLab uses low-cost  micro-fluidic cartridge technology and novel nanomaterial-based plastic biosensors to check organ function and for conditions such as  diabetes, liver disease and kidney disease, and is especially targeted at patients in developing countries. The device can also test cholesterol levels and screen for risk of  cardiac disease.
