Billionaire Indian businessman Subrata Roy’s Sahara India Pariwar is on the verge of paying £470 million to the Royal Bank of Scotland to buy Grosvenor House, the upscale hotel in London that is frequented by global industrialists and royals.

The Grosvenor House was the home of the Duke of Westminster in the nineteenth century. Indian investors have been active in recent years in buying up iconic 5-star hotel properties in London, including the Radisson Mayfair, the Crowne Plaza-St James Court and the Washington Mayfair.
