India crossword puzzle from the New York Times

The New York Times offers a crossword puzzle where many of the clues have to do with India’s culture, history and geography.

Here is a link to the interactive version that you can try online.

The India Expert was able to solve 97% of it. There are some tough answers in there for those not from India.  One of the answers if Goa, the former Portuguese colony on India’s west coast even though the clue is not related to India. Another tests you on the name of a small Indian “Union Territory”. Enjoy.
