Although UPS is very successful in India, they had to overcome some challenges involving inadequate infrastructure and complex policy environment. However, these difficulties were overcome by better planning and educating customers, integrating supply chain solutions, having a strong Global backing, and using IT to provide several innovative solutions like DIAD , SMS Tracking,etc. India is a growth opportunity for UPS and a market that requires developing an appropriate business model.
