India, with a population of 1.3 billion people, is now the world’s fastest growing major economy, and a $100+ billion p/year US trading partner. India-USA Synergy is an all-day business and cultural event created by the International Committee of City Club Los Angeles and the Consulate General of India (San Francisco). It will take place at the City Club, in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, on Monday, November 14. Distinguished speakers active in both countries’ financial, trade, government, and cultural communities will present time-critical information and perspectives directly relevant for California organizations doing business with India, and for those considering doing so.
India-USA Synergy will be the first US-India conference in California post the 2016 US Presidential election and will kick with a Keynote Address by Ambassador V. Ashok, Consul General of India, who’ll discuss the impact and implications for US-India commercial relations resulting from the change in American administrations. Additional panels and addresses will highlight the current and projected state of cross-border investment, import-export, outsourcing of services and manufacturing, and India’s booming consumer marketplace. Especially relevant to Los Angeles will be added focus on the fashion and apparel industries and the Hollywood-Bollywood nexus.
The International Committee of City Club Los Angeles has previously produced tremendously successful Synergy events in conjunction with China, Brazil, Mexico, Taiwan, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. Jointly, these events have attracted more than 2,000 attendees to the magnificent City Club, high above Los Angeles.
