India’s television market is the third largest in the world. Over 60% of households have television sets that are connected to services such as cable TV systems, Direct-to-Home (DTH) services, IPTV services, and Doordarshan, India’s public service broadcast. DTH is the most prevalent technology for delivering content to households. There are several very large DTH service providers, foremost amongst them being TataSky and Dish Network. The content provider company with the highest number of viewers in India is Zee Network. Global players such as Fox, CNN, BBC, Sony, Viacom, Warner Bros and Walt Disney   are also present in India.
