The largest amount of documented money in Switzerland’s banks comes from the United Kingdom, about 295 billion Swiss francs, or 22 percent of the total
The United States ranks second, China comes in at 25th and India is now ranked 70th with “just” 1.34 billion Swiss francs reported, a number that has declined sharply, by 5 billion Swiss francs in the last seven years.
Note that havens such as Jersey, Guernsey. Bahamas and the Cayman Islands figure very high on the Swiss list and much of that money could be from other sources, since these countries do not have much of their own wealth. Also the funds represent only direct liabilities towards clients from include funds held in savings and deposit accounts by individuals, financial institutions and companies, but not any that may be held in the names of third parties or stored in cash or other forms in safe deposit boxes.
