Shah Rukh Khan (2 November 1965) is an Indian actor, film producer, and TV host, as well as a prominent Bollywood figure. He is one of the top movie stars in India, and has also made international success with his movies such as Veer-Zaara(2004), and My Name is Kahn(2010). My Name is Kahn was filmed in New York, and is about an Indian immigrant with Asperger’s Syndrome.
In the process of filming, when Khan arrived at the New York airport, US immigration stopped him and interrogated him for 2 hours without noticing that he was one of the most famous men in the world. This is ironic, because My Name is Khan is about an innocent Muslim’s experiences of being mistakenly identified as a terrorist in the United States in the wake of 9/11. In 2009, he was named by Newsweek as one of the 50 most influential men.
