Kellogg India: Kellogg’s products have adapted their products to meet the local needs, for example products like Iron Shakti and Calcium Shakti were created for iron and calcium fortification. Kellogg’s had to face the challenges that the Indian people were not used to eating processed food, were price sensitive, and had low priced traditional breakfast available to them. They overcame the challenges by advertising and investing in key brands. They also lowered prices by localization therefore avoiding import costs. For Kelloggs, India is an important market and source for managerial talent.
