Indu Jain is the Chairperson of Bennett Coleman & Co. Limited, the largest mass media company in India which owns the Times of India (India’s largest circulating English language newspaper) with over 11,000 employees and revenue exceeding $ 1.5 billion.
Indu Jain was born on 8th September 1936 in a Sahu Jain Family. She is from Agarwal Jain Family hail from Uttar Pradesh. She married the Late Ashok Kumar Jain, Former Chief of Times of India Group, by whom she had two sons and a daughter.
Indu Jain is founder President of the Ladies wing of FICCI (FLO). Her interest in literature and culture made her Chairperson of the Bharatiya Jnanpith Trust, which awards India’s most prestigious and highest literary award, the Jnanpith award. Under her leadership, President of India launched the Oneness forum in 2003. The Forum recently awarded the Mahatma-Mahavira Awards to outstanding individuals.
