George W. Bush visits India to renew ties

George W. Bush (July 6, 1946), born in New Haven, Connecticut is the 43rd president of the United States. It was during his two terms that the “9-11 Era” began. His father George H. Bush was the 41st president of the United States. He attended Yale, where he got C- average grades. Although his grades were not the best, his leadership skills were good. In 2006, Bush visited India for the first time, spending time in Delhi and Hydarebad where he met Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

He spoke to the students at the Indian School of Business. At this student conference, he is quoted to have said, “It is in the interest of the United States that an entrepreneurial class grow in this great country. It is in the interest of India that an entrepreneurial class grow in this country so that people can realize their dreams and find good jobs.” In 2008, he signed the Civil Nuclear Treaty with India, ending India’s 30 year nuclear isolation.
