India Defense RFI Indian Army Procurement Of Prime Mover For 70 Ton Trailer:
1. The Indian Army is planning to procure Prime Mover for 70 Ton Trailer. The board
parameters expected of the vehicle are as under:-
(a) Capability. The Prime Mover should be capable to two loaded 70 Ton
Trailer. It should be able to tow approx 100 Ton on metalled and unmetalled
road/cross country.
(b) The basic parameters of the 70 Ton Trailer are as under :-
(i) Unladen weight – 25 Ton
(ii) Payload – 70 Ton
(b) Desired speed :-
(i) On metalled roads – 40 Km
(ii) On un-metalled roads – 30 Km
(c) Stability of load :-
(i) Gradeability – 14º
(ii) Side slope stability – 9º
2. With a view to identify probable vendors who can undertake the said project the
Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM)/ authorized vendors are requested to forward
information on the product which they can offer. The parameters /broad specifications of the
item are mentioned in the questionnaire attached as Appendix ‘A ’ .in addition the vendors
are also requested to furnish details as per performa at Appendix ‘B ’
3. Apart from the information as per the appendices the vendors are also requested to
forward Technical details/literature/product brochure of the product being offered by them.
