Ranking 118 out 214, Mumbai is the most expensive city in India for expatriates. The article doesn’t New York City’s ranking, but it is the most expensive city in the U.S. and it was used as the base city for the survey.

The survey measures the comparative cost of over 200 items in each location, including transportation, food, clothing, household goods, and entertainment.
