Economy

Infrastructure
Kerala has three major international airports located at Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, and Kozhikode. There is another proposed international airport that is in the offing at Kannur. The cities and towns in Kerala are accessible through two major national highways, NH17 and NH47. The Southern Railway line also connects all the important towns and cities such as Ernakulum, Thrissur, Kottayam, and Kollam together. In addition to all these modes, the backwaters that run through the state also provide a means of transportation through ferries.
