From January to September 2016, export of legwear from India to the European Union has increased despite slow market conditions there. During this period, exports registered a year-on-year surge of 27 percent in value and 32 percent in volume.
For the same period, legwear exports to the U.S. also registered a year-on-year increase by 1.5 percent to $12 million despite U.S.’ cumulative import of the category registering (-) 9.70 percent decline, reports Apparel Resources.
