The northern states of Rajasthan, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh have extended the working shift at factories making essential goods from 8 hours to 12 hours to enable companies to better deal with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. This will permit manufacturers to produce more goods despite the physical distancing limitations in place.
Several Amritt clients source product as materials from these states. We expect many other states to follow suit, in response to industry requests.
